Dan Harrington has been working with technology and the internet for the past 15 years and data security has been his major focus.

As Regional Manager of NXGEN Payment Services and principal of a national payment services developer, he combines his technology background with business intelligence to create next-generation payment processing platforms serving vertical markets in government, healthcare, education, churches, and real estate.

Since the early 2000's, payment processing has been his major interest and passion. Over the past ten years, third-party technology providers like PayPal have revolutionized the world of moving money and electronic banking using technology, causing banks to have less control in the business of payment processing.

It is becoming more critical that businesses are prepared with information and tools to keep up with the pace of development in a largely unregulated business.

Unless Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards are shared in terms that are easier for business owners to understand and implement, financial and personal information data compromises will continue to increase.

As an active participant in the Electronic Transaction Association and NACHA, Dan Harrington develops education and training programs to give business owners information and best practices that will help protect them and their customers against emerging threats that may compromise the financial information and consumer payment devices flowing through their business.
