Matt Jonkman, founder of Emerging Threats.net (formerly Bleeding Snort), will update on the current status of the project and go into detail on two major initiatives underway to break new ground in fighting Malware at the Network Level. These include Sandnetting and Realtime Block Feeds. Matt will also cover some intermediate to advanced tips and techniques for writing effective and efficient Snort Signatures.

Matt Jonkman is the founder of Emerging Threats, formerly Bleeding Snort. He's been around the Financial and Telecom Security sector for 10 years as well as serving a 5 year stint in the US Army. Matt currently works full time doing vulnerability and threat research related to IPS under US Army and National Science Foundation grants at EmergingThreats.net.
